The reports on Nate Pearson at Licey have been universally great. Being used exclusively as a closer, seems to love the role. Virtually unhittable. Something to watch.

Good way to adapt, his stuff should play well in relief. Lord knows this BP needs the swing and miss.

Fred McGriff is up for HoF consideration by the Era Committee. Currently the (non-tainted) eligible player with the most HRs outside of the hall.

Do folks here think he's got a shot? I've long advocated that he (and Steib, who isn't being considered this time around) deserve it, but I'm leaning towards him missing the 75% threshold, especially given the other names on the ballot.

It's hard to know who is trusted and who is not on Twitter these days, what with that twit, Elon, in charge. And so whether this poster is really the reincarnation of the original Mike or not, I don't know. Take with a big grain of salt.

I read the same thing somewhere... Not sure Heaney is the right guy, with the exception of this past season with the Dodgers which is somewhat of an outlier, over his career he has given up a lot of runs & homers. On a positive note, he has good swing & miss, and doesn't walk a lot, but I'm not sure he's much of an upgrade over Kikuchi.
