In a 60 game season do guys really need rest? Why not just play your best players every game that they are available? Hopefully Bo is back soon

Players likely need more rest in a 60 game season. Very few off-days, multiple double-headers, makes for a challenging environment. You really don't want them hitting what would normally be the midseason will during the postseason.

Yeah, I don’t understand this stuff about not resting guys during a 60 game season. As you said, it’s all jammed together. They don’t get the regular rest they would get during a normal season.

Not even close either. He's one of the last players on the team who should be taking risks on the bases.

Also what exactly does Rivera do here other than drop the bunt sign? You've got a young player on your base. Talk to him. I can't believe that happened after the **** show in Miami.

I really hope he figures it out at some point. It's a shame to see a kid with that much power rolling over on ground balls all the time. It would be easier to overlook the terrible defense and base running if he was killing it at the plate.

Would it be a crazy idea to turn the DH into a rover (R) like position.

So you take your 9 man lineup, and you select 8 guys to take the field, for each inning.

So for example, let's say someone gets hit by a pitch, and the next batter ends the inning.
Or let's just say someone has to go to washroom, or went to the lockerroom to grab new cleets.

The rover can take a spot on the field, while the other guy takes care of his business. Then you can switch back in a later inning if you want.
