Beginning to think we should have traded for like three more starting pitchers. Good ones, though, so not Robbie Ray.

Roark and Anderson will have value over the course of a 162 game season when at least 10 starters are required to last through the grind and eating up innings is more valuable, but in a 60 game sprint, their mediocrity becomes a lot more visible. Mid to front end starting pitching is still a need for this team heading into the winter, even if they (hopefully) move Merryweather, Hatch, and Kay into starting roles.

how can stretching merryweather out be a worse option than anderson?
