Yankees are losing. if the jays get same record as them , they will be tied in overall record, divisional record and head to head.

I think I missed most of these 'good' outings Yamaguchi has had...but does he make the postseason roster?

I can't see him used unless he is a mop up guy.

We can use him in blowouts after Espinal pitches his inning.

Not just any win - getting D.J. LeMahieu to ground into a double play to end the game with the bases loaded in extra innings.

We're one Fish win away from HOOO MAN territory.

Wouldn't that only be if we sweep the Orioles?

If we only win two (and the Yanks get swept by the Marlins) I think that gives them a better divisional record by a game, no?

if jays win both remaining games, they finish 33-27 overall and 23-17 in division. yankees are finished at 23-17 in division and are at 32-26 right now. if they split the remaining two it could mean a tie at 33-27 and at 23-17 and a 5-5 series split. im not sure the tie breaker after that but i hope it isnt run differential.

Correct.

If Head-to-head and intra-division are both tied, then it goes to intra-division for the last 20 games (and then 21 games, then 22, etc... until one team has the better record)

if they both finish at 33-27, the yankees will have had a 12-8 finish in final 20 games. jays will have finished 11-9.

He said intra-division for the last twenty games. Not simply the last twenty games.
