After the season Bauer put up, I find it really doubtful he'd still be willing to take a one year deal lol. Dude may be quirky, but he can't be that stupid enough to turn down $100 mill+ offers that he's gonna get.

Bauer doesnt seem lile the type of person Shapiro and Atkins would bring in. Plus he's a douche, so it would be **** having to cheer for him. But he is elite, so im all aboard.

No minor league season really sucked for a guy like Groshans. A full minor league season under his belt this year, and he had a shot to make it to the majors next year.

So much for that extra day of rest for Ryu.

They made the playoffs.

They have made the playoffs 2 of his 5 years in control. Are we supposed to call those bad odds or can we compare that to what came before?

They don’t get credit for 2016 but AA gets credit for the Braves. For reasons.

Except major league baseball. 40% of the years Shatkins has been running the team, they've made the playoffs. Those are just crazy results given the Jays history. At this point you've gotta assume they've punched their ticket to the ring of honour.

I'm not calling Shatkins a bust just yet, but I don't consider any tickets punched at this point. The 2016 team was established in 2015 and squeaking into the playoffs as the 8th seed in the first year of expanded brackets isn't anything to write home about.

2020 was never supposed to be a contention year, so we could say the team is around where we expected it to be. The core is established and we're building the win rate. I think it will be AS break 2022 before we can begin to pass real judgement, unless they really tank it in 2021. Who knows what payrolls will be like in 2021 and what FA will be tripping over themselves to play in a minor league stadium at Buffalo?

I don't feel as bad now knowing that the Evil Empire got smacked by the Rays and that Glasnow was unstoppable against them too.

Return to Toronto Blue Jays
