So our designated pinch runner is actually a terrible base runner. Awesome.

Feel bad for Davis. That probably just sealed his fate with the team. It's between or Tellez when Springer comes back.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Does this mean we have to start Kirk at second base in the 10th?

Highly doubt they were going to keep 5 OF if Springer is healthy and can play in the field.

I think it was always Davis. Tellez is off to a poor start but he has an MLB track record and he’s a much needed LH bat.

Davis is, and will always be, a minor leaguer.

Dude, Vladdy caught a ball tonight that had a .930 xBA. Saved a run, too. Was Keith Hernandez-esque.

i'll retract this because on second look, that could've been a balk and probably was

Kirk would have been out at 3rd. Good decision.

Better baserunner than Davis apparently.

Looking forward to Bichette's next tantrum. Respect to Biggio for not acting that way.

Don’t ever catch that ball whatever you do Teoscar. I once lost a trip to the national championships in British Columbia because somebody decided to catch a foul ball allowing the runner to tag up

Factoid of note, there were three players that subbed for Jansen's position in the lineup there:

- Tellez, the PH

- Davis, who ran for Tellez

- Kirk, who ran at 2B when the game went to extras

Don't see that everyday.

Problem is that left the bench empty. I probably would have just PH Kirk. That would have left Davis to pinch-run at 2B if the game went to extras, and you'd still have a bat in Tellez off the bench.
