So that ball was hit almost 8 mph slower than the ball people killed Biggio for not making last night, when he was playing in, no less.

When’s the last time Jansen got a hit?

Edit: To answer my own question, it was April 7th. The last time Jansen got a hit was April 7th.

This offense is going to start producing soon, right?

Right?

So many non-competitive at-bats in our lineup right now. I kinda feel bad for Springer already. He's probably gonna be super rusty coming back and the fanbase will expect him to rescue this anemic offense right away lol.

There is a lot of guys on this team who needs to get hits, pretty much everyone from the 5th batter downwards... Gurriel, Jansen, Kirk, even Simien

We definitely didn't need to lose Ryu. Hopefully it's nothing serious, and we do have some time off this week.

This POS team is going to end up with more extra base hits than singles.

Well if Ryu is out for any real period of time, at least I’ll stop complaining about Bichette playing SS. The goals of this season immediately shift in that scenario.

Our problem is the opposite, really: we aren't getting enough XBHs. 37.6% of the hits for the 2015 team were XBHs...entering today it was 30.7%. More XBHs would be great!

i hate that approach by bichette there. hack away at anything remotely close to the strike zone, going for absolute broke with zero selection as the pitcher nibbles. wait for the guy to groove one or take a walk ffs.

The only logical thing to do now is trot out a one-man rotation of Milone/Milone/Milone/Milone/Milone. He doesn't throw hard, so his arm should be able to handle it.

What happened to Ryu? Missed the beginning of this game. At least we have Borucki we can throw into the rotation if Ryu is gone for any period of time.

Doesn't that just mean we've got a **** offense? So our collective approach at the plate is take big hacks at everything and we still can't put out XBH?
