Time to change the TBA to Manoah as Rosenthal has now reported what was obvious after the Kay demotion last week.

Gotcha!

I'm not the smartest guy, and as exciting as this is, I wonder if it is too soon. Then again...I might just already be missing TBA.

Might as well have him throw his 90 pitches this week in MLB than MILB. Nobody can argue he’s not by far their best option to pitch the game.

idk if I like Manoah being called up to make his first start in NY against the Yankees lol. But hey, we're desperate right now and TBD is not a great alternative.

Oh FFS.

Pitchers are made of glass these days.

These teams should really stop throwing strikes to Vlad right now.

I'd honestly like to see the math on walking Vlad at this point. Except in late-game situations when the Jays are down two, I'm quite confident that it favours scuffing four pitches any time the bases are empty. Almost definitely favours it with 1B empty and RISP, as well, and it might be pretty close in situations like this (and normally you never want to walk a guy into scoring position).

If only we could get some legitimate pitching to support this offense.

I’m just realizing after naming the last thread “battle of Florida”, we could have named this one “battle of New York”.

Panik is a veteran who can handle the bat. Espinal is inexperienced and struggling badly.

I know which one I'd have in for this at-bat. I don't care that it's a lefty pitcher.

Glad it worked out, but it was a bad call IMO.

A bottom of the order guy like Danny refuses to change his approach to drive in a runner from 3rd with 1 out. Can’t wait til he’s gone.
