I have a longstanding dislike of the name Chad which precedes its current place in the pantheon of Internet memes.

That said, I think we can all agree that, while Chris Flexen is an okay name, Chad Flexen would be a far superior offering.

Smh at giving Reese McGuire the green light 3-0 with the top of the order behind him.

He's a great kid, but I'm not sure that McGuire has quite yet earned the 'sure, swing on 3-0 if you like it, we trust you'

Surely Bo leads the league in pitches fouled off?

They actually mentioned last week that he does.

I get it's tougher when you're remote but Buck has been terrible on commentary this season.

If Springer didn’t get to that ball and it went to the wall, and the runner got to second, it would be a double. But because he got to it, and rushed to get the ball back in quickly and dropped it, it’s ruled an error. Nonsense.

honestly, everyone not named romano needs a short leash in this bp. mayza comes in and can't even retire two bottom of the order hitters.

Not a religious man and a Jays fan...still urged to say a prayer for every opposing starting pitcher at Sahlen field.

It’s kind of incredible how much better the Jays are than teams like Cleveland and Seattle which have comparable records. The AL East and the unbalanced schedule is more of a killer than usual.

And we get a bit of a reprieve, because when it gets back to the unbalanced schedule, we have three late-season series against the Orioles and our one non-AL team from Sept 6 on is the Twins. Half our games are against tough AL East competition, and the rest against those two, which beats the hell out of the years where September is just a parade of Yankees, Red Sox and Rays (and invariably a division leader from the Central/West)

You just get the feeling in your stomach that a couple of those losses with the game in hand to the Red Sox is going to bite us in the ass this year.

it's wild we don't have a winning record against any of the division in the AL. We are 17-18 in AL East, 4-6 against AL Central, and 7-10 against AL West.

With Gurriel getting reps playing 1B tonight, looks like Tellez will be gone as soon as Dickerson comes off the DL.

Matz hasn't looked good at all and the Jays should have crushed Sheffield (and didn't). Not the best start to this one.
