The Home Stretch (25 games left)

We have 14 games left with the O's and Twins. 6 games with Tampa where at the minimum (barring a complete meltdown) they will have clinched the division for at least 3 of those games maybe all 6.
Man... that could be 20 games against teams with no reason to win a game. Otherwise, including tonight... that is 5 games against the Yankees to account for. The Yankees play the Red Sox 3 more times as well. Boston has 6 remaining against Baltimore but also play the Mariners and White Sox 6 times combined within the next week as those teams continue to play meaningful games. The Yankees schedule isn't terribly difficult either though if you remove a set with the Mets, the aforementioned Red Sox series and then that series here in Toronto.
Boston gets WSH and NYY gets TB (who will have definitely clinched) as we play Baltimore in 3 game sets to close the year. It may literally come down to who can beat up on a bad or situationally non-competitive team the most to end the season.
This really paints a picture of how pretty we could have been sitting at the moment if we played better on that west coast trip and a couple series since. Let's definitely not even talk about what happened pre ASB.
Guys, fortune is definitely on our side. Whatever you do... cheer for Tampa. Whatever happens over the next month... we control our WC destiny a bit more than I think we realize. Fairly ironic that while we cheer for Tampa... We are hoping like heck to win a one game playoff to get them in the ALDS.
Send some good vibes to your Toronto Blue Jays!
