This probably will not help, because I cannot remember the password and thus cannot use the account to utter heretical things before being righteously banned, but I sacrificed our old friend Farrell4Eva to the gods anyway. Can't hurt.

For the 70 games every two seasons where Jansen looks like a major league hitter, he looks like one hell of a major league hitter.

I thought we were playing in Baltimore. LOL..

I think we have a good chance to go 3-0 to end the season. All we need is one loss from Seattle and Boston.

Can still end up a 4 way tie for the W.C. according to MLB.

Natinals managed to get nothing from a bases loaded, 0 out situation. Where's the DC metro area winneryness.

Good to see the decision to start Biggio for no reason already backfired.

He's 2 for 2. This isn't a comment on the benefits of starting him, which is crazy when he hasn't started a game in seven weeks, but man baseball is weird.

Is Biggio the one that would benefit the most with a robo umpire?
I wonder how many of his strikeout looking were actually balls.

I can only presume MLB wants the Jays out of the playoffs based on overturning that play on the field. Interesting stuff.

I generally lean toward using the 'pen over 'hot' mediocre pitchers, but you have to let Matz pitch here.

If we were a team that had 3-4 elite RPs, that might be a conversation. This is not such a team.

Renfroe wallops a 3 run HR, there goes one of our opportunities this weekend. Need 2 out of 5 to hit.

Why it isn't easy to determine how many games a manager has cost you: sometimes they start a guy out of position who hasn't played in months and he goes 3 for 3 because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ride Matz until 2 runners get on.
He only has 68 pitches.
I understand the analytic drop off 3rd time though, but his baseline right now is very good... so even a drop in performance can still be good. I think teams are to quick do that pull when a pitcher has done very well the first two times through. In the specific game the bullpen may do better, but by always doing that switch you are taxing the bullpen a lot which takes out their effectiveness in future games / forces use of some relivers in undesirable out of leverage situations.

With the next 2 games being crucial, and then potentially 2 playoff games back to back, no need to waste arms until a need demonstrates it.

And while typing this it is now 5-0. At 68 pitches, if Matz can go 9 innings and finish it off let him do it. As I said keep him in until 2 runners get on base.

Man looks like hoping the Nationals weren't suddenly gonna suck wasn't such a good plan.

Now he's gonna start the rest of the weekend, just great.
