Happy it has happened because ultimately I didn't see him leading this team to any great playoff success when push comes to shove either this season or in the future.

Never liked the hire, never got the hire... This is just as much on Shatkins tbh.

Not sure a competent manager is fairing much better this year minus the massive loss streak, though.

the amount of closed-door, players-only meetings this cohort has apparently had this season already is telling. and then for vlad to show him up publicly yesterday....yikes. great human being and wish him nothing but good things in the future, and i felt like he did improve this year, but ultimately he's a bench coach at best.

The timing is interesting considering they were literally at one their coaches daughter funeral literally two days ago, my guess it was decided in the 1-9 road trip, but couldn't do it literally on their off day.

To Charlie, you're a great guy. On that, I'm a little sad to see you suffer this fate.

But you were the wrong man for the job. This team needs a harder edge. Get rid of the jack, tell the group at the end of the dugout to quit horsing around. And on the field, please be a bit more creative, try a bit of hit-nd-run, do anything to move runners along. Charlie was just not creative or bold.

Charlie did seem like a cool dude but I couldn't stand his usage of our players and pen to a lesser extent. No where for the front office to hide they used their scapegoat card. On them to improve the team.
