Has Santiago Espinal fallen out of favour with the new manager?

Great question;I hope they ask him.
I hope they also ask wtf he is doing to the lineup.

Berrios has given up a lot of hard contact this year. This inning...isn't that.
Edit: a 2 run HR is more his style, definitely.

Six seasons left.

If Berrios was good all year I could've given him a break for this but man hard to justify. If anything this is probably what should've happened in some of those earlier starts when he got lucky.
I just know I don't want him anywhere near a playoff rotation he just unravels so damn fast.

Berrios is a absolute mess. (I've said that about 2/5s of our rotation all year)

I don’t think he’s “fallen out of favour” per se. He just hasn’t been hitting for the last two months.

Having 2 reliable starters isnt the best recipe for success.

So much for being good at home. Dude is terrible anywhere.

Berrios may be sneakily having one of the worst full pitching seasons in Jays history? I wonder what his ERA will end up at in the end.
Puzzling that the team has Ross Stripling starting in AAA tonight while the team is struggling in a playoff race.

Berrios is such a fraud! Just like Kikuchi.
How much did we sign this guy to a contract again?
edit. seven-year, $131-million contract.

Doubt they'll make the playoffs with this rotation the rest of the way, yeah. The team isn't particularly good this year but I've been holding out hope they could fluke something out in October. That hope is lessening.

You'd rather have that if we reach the playoffs than five more-or-less competent starters. Two very good starters will get the majority of your playoff starts. It's just a matter of getting there (and hoping that Gausman/Manoah are in form and healthy when the playoffs arrive).

The yin and yang of Berrios and Kikuchi is pretty funny frustrating in totally different ways. Kikuchi can never find the zone, hits guys and walks more guys than I've ever seen.
Berrios can find the zone but his pitches get absolutely crushed feels like he gives up hard hit balls all night lmao

What does calling him a “fraud” even mean? He’s had several good seasons in his career. That doesn’t mean people think he’s good this season.
