Firing Gibbons ranks right there with Shapiro/Atkins' biggest mistakes (Roark, Kikuchi, Morales).

They probably want to have a real starter against the Yankees the following week in case the Yankees collapse somehow this week.

He acted like an ambling slow talking doofus…but he just did so few dumb things. Almost felt like he was the one guy who could handle being bored and the grind of the season and didn’t feel the need to constantly do **** and tinker with things.

Every time I check upcoming games for the teams around us, the Mariners are always playing the A's. Must be nice playing in that trash division.

Damn it's hard to have a night without the Jays, i feel like I spend the evening not knowing what to do with myself.
Hopefully we have a respectable post season to close the gap before the Raps.

Don't care either way, but is there an official reason for the no jacket for Chapman?

The announcers said maybe because it's time to be srs.
I wonder if nobody was paying attention. Usually it looks like the Jacket guy is Teo, he was on-deck, or Espy who looked to be pretty deep down in the dugout.
I'm sure tw@tter will be ablaze with theories.

Having Chapman clicking right now is nice I think his bat/defense will be a x-factor for us in the playoffs.
