Hopefully Jays can win tomorrow, and then Mariners either lose tomorrow, or lose the first of their doubleheader on Tuesday so the Jays can coast to the finish.

It'd be real nice if the Mariners can stay ahead of the Rays, but I have a feeling they'll both be going for third once we've clinched the top WC spot.

I agree Seattle is the better matchup for the Jays than Tampa, but weren't the Jays something like 1-5 against the Mariners this season?

Pre-Montoyo firing in a time where the Jays were slumping. It really doesn't matter.

There's a possibility they tank to avoid us anyway.

Edit: It appears they actually did tank today (by their standards) already.

it's funny how the jays live rent-free in kevin cash's head. first last year, deliberately pitching to aaron judge to give the yankees a good chance to walk-off what would be the eventual yankees win that kept the jays out of the playoffs, and now this shit. dude doesn't even try to hide that he'd rather play other teams. i hope cleveland punts them out in 2 if that ends up being the matchup.

i'm surprised this whole series isn't broadcasted by apple tv. you'd think they'd wanna mic up gunnar henderson for all 27 innings of this series, seeing as the orioles are now playing for nothing.

If he gives up his usual 5+ runs by the second inning, just keep him in there. We don't want to overwork the bullpen this close to the playoffs. If he ends up giving up 15 runs, so be it.

It looks like they are going to have to play this one through cold, rainy conditions all night because the forecast for tomorrow looks no better.

In fairness, it was absolutely the right call. Our expected win/loss was miles beyond the Yankees, and New York couldn't score against them all year. If the roles were reversed there I'd have probably thrown whatever Tampa's equivalent of TJ Zeuch was out there and severed the phone line to the bullpen.

You shouldn't be in the majors if you can't throw strikes. 4 balls in a row without throwing a strike is unacceptable.

Orioles announcer mentions that Berrios has been far less effective with his spin since the substance checks...

I think this logical is sound.
