Manoah is out of breath walking back to the dugout. Cannot remember a fall this bad for an All-Star pitcher from one year to the next since Ricky Romero. He needs to get in better shape and spend the rest of the year in the Minors.

Him, Kirk, and Vladdy all need to hit the gym.

They're all have career worst years and they're all in terrible shape.

I honestly don't think being in shape Is what's holding guerrero back. There have been plenty of bigger hitters that have had success... vlad just won the home run derby, and that amount of swinging takes a lot of endurance and is taxing on the body. Vlads problems are largely due to his inability to recognize pitches and timing issues.

Manoah on the other hand might benefit from losing weight if it's the pace of the game holding him back.

Work the count Espinal. don’t swing unless you need to.

In the 4th we had two men on with 0 out and 1 out and needing multiple runs and we had guys swinging at 3–1 pitches and 2-0 pitches. Take a pitch. Put the pressure on the pitcher..

I'll take my chances with Ryu at worst I think he'll at least be in the zone and give a 2015 RA Dickey type performance if his pre-struggles were indeed injury related.

Manaoh should've had at least 3 more AAA starts. But it sucks cause now we have to either let him keep embarrassing himself or send him down 2 starts after calling him up. Sadly I think we give him another for optics reasons and then he gets sent down or ghost IL.

Who cares about the optics? It’s late July in a playoff race, every game counts.

The Jays put themselves in the position of looking like idiots with this and they shouldn’t compound what was already a bad decision by wasting even more games with him on the roster. If they do and they miss the playoffs by a game or two, remember back to this.

Oh I don't care about optics at all and think we shouldn't get into a sunk cost fallacy in regards to Manoah by compounding a bad decision. Just an awful look for the organization. Which easily could've been avoided.

I still don't understand why we can't have a machine call balls and strikes. This umpire screwed Manoah out of 2 strikeouts, one of them became a 2 run homer.

Obviously John isn't gonna say "wow this guy blows we should send him to AA" but he was a bit too positive about Manoahs performance for me to think they don't waste at least 2 or 3 more starts on him.

Given Schneiders track record this was a given. sucks that we're gonna miss the playoffs because of it and schneider will get a raise out of it as a result. Because you know, thats how we roll here in Toronto under Shatkins.

I’m sure he has next to no say in anything like that. He’s just doing what a manager has to do in that situation. The alternative (see Charlie Montoyo throwing Kikuchi under the bus and destroying his confidence for a year) is no good.

The way the Jays have handled this Manoah situation is a very poor look for the front office.

If the Jays were to offer up their top 3 prospects for Ohtani, how close are they to getting Ohtani?

What do you think would have to be included?

Doesnt matter, this front office is way to conservative to go after a whale like ohtani. We only feed on the small fish.

Can’t afford him lol even though he solves a pitching and hitting problem in one player.

Joel Siddal can just button his trap. “That’s what I meant by trusting your stuff” when Manny cashes in two.

Bichette needs to be banned from the field. Make him a permanent DH. IDGAF anymore.

It’s a good point. No doubt Ohtani can play shortstop as well.
