The Springer at 4 has failed.Put him back to leadoff.Whitt at 2,Vlad at 3..Belt at 4..Jano at 5..Chapman at 6.. xx at 7 xx at 8..Kiermaier at 9.Belt,and Jano can be flipped.
They have no clue what they are doing.Constant shifting will not improve this offence. It hasn,t,and it wont.Sticking with a lineup that makes offensive sense might.

At best changing lineups, make small or minimal gains.
Not saying they are not worth doing, but It won't really solve our issues.

Chapman is the worst hitter with RISP I’ve ever seen, he just falls off a cliff in big spots

A measly 4 hits so far.. nobody has stepped up! there must be something going on in the clubhouse. you can't have so many struggling at the same time.

imo-Anything is better than this constant shifting..guessing..whatever it is.Its not something they have even considered, and thats after having wins on consecutive days with the same lineup against a good team, and a hall of fame pitcher. They are making this about the individual, instead of the team.If a guy gets hot, they move him up.If the team wins with the same lineup,I think thats better than moving one guy up.

It doesn't matter where you are in the lineup. As a professional baseball player, hitting should be a skill you possess. If you can't hit you shouldn't be in the majors.

As if the hitting isn't annoying enough, the pen usage today is ridiculous.

Ideally yes,but with whoever is setting our lineups, and the constant changing of the lineup except for a third or more of the lineup, can mess guys heads up.Bo is at 2,and staying there, and he is solid.Vladdy even though not great is at 3 or 4.He was better at 3.Kiermaier has been solid at 9.Jano solid at 7.All of those players have been slotted in their slots for a while.

He really doesn’t have any common sense or basic baseball IQ does he?

Love Varsho's outfield defense, but him being one of the worst hitting outfielders in MLB is one of the reasons this lineup is so terrible in the bottom of the order. However, when you take him out of the lineup, you are left with Biggio and Espinal as the options to pinch hit, who have also been terrible this year hitting wise. Factor in Kirk's struggles compared to last year, and guys like Matt Chapman struggling in high leverage situations- it is not a surprise why this lineup has been one of the worst with RISP all year.

Using Hicks in a blowout and then Hatch in a close game is peak John Schneider. I guess Hatch can blow this game open and we can save some bullets for tomorrow.

How Chapman achieve those numbers after being AL player of the month in April is incredibly bad

How many times has jays come back this season, and how many times have they come back +5 down. Previous years, you would still think they have chance, this year if they are down 2 it feels like it's over

No serious team battling for a Wild Card spot, would put Thomas Hatch in when you are down by 2 runs. Absolute joke, and it was waving the White Flag on this game. Hatch is not a Major League player and will be DFA, when Chad Green is ready to be called up in a week.
