Kiss the AL champion dreams good bye. This team has 0 power, and the only guy who can actually hit with RISP doesn't play half the games available. When he does play, he is hitting at the #7 spot.

Outhit 46-18 in this 4-game series. We got lucky to win one game.

The Orioles biggest weakness is probably their starting pitching, and they all look like Cy Young material against us. What a joke of an offense. Danny Jansen at this point should be hitting 4 and starting every day. DH can alternate between Belt and Kirk.

1. George
2. Whit
3. Vlad
4. Jansen
5. Belt or Kirk
6. Chapman
7. KK
8. DeJong
9. Varsho

The way things are going, Kevin Kiermaier may end the season with a higher OPS than Vlad.

Just a disaster season for Vlad so far.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

I am quite surprised that Vladdy has not made any adjustments. It almost seems like he is not putting in the effort required to get better. What has happened to him?

They will be out of the Wild Card this weekend, and with the Sox facing the Tigers, Nationals and Royals in the next couple of weeks- I fully expect Boston to maintain and extend their lead over the Wild Card. Just got to hope Bichette can come back in about two weeks or so, since this lineup is terrible without him.

And no one will be held accountable because that's how this bush league organization operates.

If they keep putting Belt before Vlad, they will be lucky to not go on a losing streak.
Its like this org is trying not to win.

There is a report that Davis Schneider has been summoned to join the team in Boston

Even Varshos father is shocked that Varsho was batting cleanup.
Looks like a TD Bank Manager has been setting lineups for fun lol.

This was a putrid series. I have no other adjective. The Os decimated every starter except Kikuchi. The Jays couldn't hit the Os mediocre starters.

Schneider did his usual management today with Francis and Hatch being used in high leverage. I guess there were no other AAA options to call up.

Atkins deadline comments concern me greatly. He said adding another bat would have little to no effect. Has he heard of catalysts? Sometimes it takes one guy with a solid approach to help spur on the team. I don't think he understands this and that is a problem or he is just passing the blame.

Instead, the players have to improve individually to their potential. News flash. That is beyond a GM's control. If Atkins can't make the team better with a move, what is he here for?

I know why he is here. To fix the team's defense by adding offensive black holes like Varsho. Mission accomplished. Unfortunately Varsho couldn't prevent all the runs the Os scored in this series.

That's another thing. Boy has it taken long to insert other options in place of Espinal and Biggio. Even with Schneider's callup, I doubt he gets much playing time.

Yeah Atkins is right...we dont need a RHB like Teo :noway:  .So he,s a fortune teller and a gm.
Teo`s season numbers with RISP .319avg 3hrs 44RBI

As for Varsho,he has to learn quickly how to hit a high fastball in the zone or better yet go oppo.

Why haven't we made a significant change in our hitting approach and hitting coach/coaches?

I'm not impressed with the catalyst notion, as if the only thing keeping Vlad from elevating grounders or Chapman from striking out so much is the absence of another bat to inspire them. I'm more interested in the fact they never change their plate approach, and swing at a lot of garbage. And I don't know what our hitting coaches are doing. Are they being ignored? Tuned out? Or are they out of answers.

Can coaching changes make a difference now? It can't make them worse
