If I needed something to convince me to go biking this afternoon this might be it -- might listen on the radio.

Not watching the game, but reading on Twitter that Chapman got removed from the game due to Finger Inflammation. Bad time for both Chapman and Bichette to be out. Hopefully this lineup will not get shut out like last week, when you have these three terrible hitters in the lineup all at once.

Throwing out runners?
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

All it takes is for a few guys to get some timely hits. Springer and guerrero with rbis. Varsho with a 3 run bomb. 2 of those guys are supposed to be carrying your team offensively. The jays have had no shortage of risp all year they've just been horrible in the clutch.

I’m guessing Varsho is being moved up in the lineup next game

The only player I've seen with worst plate discipline than Javier Baez is Paul Dejong lmao

Why is guerrero still swinging at sliders well out of the zone.

Janssen needs more protective gear.

Off-topic-

Are there an advance stat that shows.

Pitches per batter
Pitches between outs
Pitches between outs minus errors committed by others
Pitches between Earned Runs
Pitches between Strikeouts
Pitches between walks

Incomplete PAs
-Batter striking out on what should be a ball
-Batter drawing a walk on what should be a strike
-batter shows a lot of patience in both scenarios.

-Which pitchers have had the most strike-3 called stolen by the umpires. HP called, 1B/3B called for no-swing
-Which pitchers have had the most ball 4 called as strikes, gifted by the umpires: HP called, 1B/3B called for swing,

-Which batter/pitcher is assisted by the umpire the most
-Which batter/pitcher the robbed by the umpires the most

-both pitchers show they can really control their pitches, around the strike zone.
-both batters are able to hold back their swing.

-------------------
# of outs on the base paths, after the batter reached 1st base, like stretching single to a double, runner Caught Stealing.

ERA-minus: subtract the # of innings above when calculating ERA

ERA-minus +gifted- subtract the # of innings that were gifted by the umpire when calculating ERA
----------------

Which batters have advanced a runner, at least 1 base, by sacrificing themselves, but not been given a Sacrifice on the score card, because it wasn't a scoring playing. Subtract those from 0/1 from the ABs totals.

Our vets have been awesome this season for the most part. Whit, KK, and Belt are all having great seasons for their age.

I truly never expected Ryu to be any sort of asset this year. An unexpected huge bonus if he can continue to throw like this coming down the stretch.
