I confess to getting some satisfaction from the Yankees blowing a 7-1 lead and giving up five in the bottom of the ninth.

Wow. This was the first time this year the Blue Jays hit a home run with a runner in scoring position!

Will the hot run finally start?

Was it? If that's the case that's an incredible stat.

Serious question, anyone else getting that sinking feeling that Vlad might not be the generational star we all thought and we need to lower our expectations to just really damn good? Although I still think he’s carrying too much extra weight, and heavier guys at the faster pace might be a fixable issue.

Anyways, good win. Is Pearson ever going to be moved to the rotation again, or are we thinking elite set-up man/potential closer as the target now?
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

are the jays going to exercise their club option on him next year?

they may see him as a reclamation projection at 2nd/3rd next year with Chapman most liklely pricing himself out of Toronto? :o

Dejong has a 12.5 million club option. No way they exercise that. They will just pay him the 2 million for his buyout terms. He has been a terrible hitter for 3 years, so I was not expecting much from him offensively. He is solid defensively, so the Jays got him for his Glove. He is basically the Bradley Zimmer of the infield. Hoping Bichette returns soon so he can go to the bench and be strictly used as a Late Inning Defender.

I think a lot of fans have already accepted that about Vlad - any reversion to 2021 type play will be a welcome but unexpected surprise.

2021 was an anomaly where he played 44 games at minor league parks and had a OPS of 1.300 in those games. Outside that he has been a .800 OPS bat his entire career

Buffalo is more of a pitchers park than the dome is. Did you bother looking up the dimensions? Why were his numbers MVP caliber on the road as well?

Why didnt any other Jays have a huge boost in power numbers that year?
