Haters in shambles

Doubt they're gonna be in too much shambles after his failure to short hop Espinal's throw cost them two runs and the lead. The worst defensive player in baseball.

Right call by the ump. Springer moved too much.

Gausman finally gets some run support and pitches one of his worst games of the season.

He's been bad but this Phillies lineup is admittedly stacked.

Mariners should be 1 back by the end of the night. I'd expect them to pass them by next week at some point.

Lol yeah lets make a guy play injured in the middle of August. Brilliant idea.

I really think you leave Gausman in here. He’s your best pitcher. Just because of the lefty righty matchup? Who’s going to strike out Schwarber more often? Gausman more than Mayza for sure.

How do we prevent Seattle from eliminating us back to back years

Gausman has been bad all night and Schwarber/Harper own him historically. I don't think it's a particularly difficult choice.

I don’t see him lying down on a stretcher on the bench. Your definition of unable to play is much different than mine.

Heck, I punish him for dropping a dumbbell on his own hand not only by playing him, but making him carry other guys’ bags to the bus. Don’t drop those bags Chapman!

Interesting that it was Mayza rather than Cabrera (who you'd usually expect in this kind of situation early in the game).

If he could play at all, he's certainly pinch hitting over Nathan Lukes last night with the game on the line.

Not watching this anymore. I'd love to see a comeback but I don't know, just not feeling it.

Considering the Mariners' schedule, there's very little that can be done about that. They threw too many games away this season (including particularly against Seattle).

Mariners are beating up on the Royals and have another game against them tomorrow (and 3 more next week). Losing matters at this point in the season, yeah.

I guess they wanted their high leverage lefty! Lol. Who knew?

I guess at this point you wish they would’ve brought in any other bullpen arm! Nice try.

At this point I wouldn't waste anybody good on this game at all. It's Jay Jackson or Bowden Francis time.
