Let's make it 3 series wins in a row. Go Big or Go Home.

We may never lose (more than one game in a row) again.

No Schneider in the lineup today. Benched for Biggio who is hitting 2 against a LHP.

A sweep? Hell they almost got swept by the Rockies (they were behind in all 3 games). Time to stop pretending this unserious team has a chance of doing anything at all.

the workload is becoming far too much for someone that spent 2 weeks on the bench 2 weeks ago

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

I personally would not rest the hottest hitter in baseball in a wild card race lol.

Gotta get him a rest day to prepare for the off day on Thursday.

Schneider is a seasoned veteran who requires scheduled off days. Must be the stache.
Pretty neat and on the fridge for the real fans:

Biggio literally has the worst BA and lowest OPS on the entire lineup and he bats #2? Does Biggio have something on this moronic manager?

It's bad enough giving Schneider the day off but at least it is rational owing to potential rest needed, but Biggio at the 2?

What the heck are they thinking? This is the beginning of a series. Unless it is a ruse to slot Schneider in there after a half game off or in a pinch hit situation. Still doesn't justify it though.

Guys, if we score too many runs our pitchers get complacent.

Just checked and isn't the A's starter today a Lefty? I thought Schneider was supposed to start vs Lefties no matter what? So now Schneider realizes Babe hits righties well, that he needs to reverse platoon him? Mind boggling.

The As starter is a righty.

I don’t necessarily agree with resting Schneider, and don’t love biggio hitting 2nd. But, he does have a .424 on base percentage against righty’s since the all star break. Given half the starting lineup is injured (and 90% of you seem to want vladdy either benched or dropped in the lineup) there aren’t many clearly better options

Clement, Merrifield are better options assuming Springer leads off. Good point about the OBP but still, you expect more than patience from your #2 hitter in a crucial hitting position in the tone setting first game of the series.

If Vlad produces like he did yesterday, he can stay at #3. I made that comment after the culmination of a declining OPS and continuous DP groundouts in run producing situations.

Even Kirk is a better option. Forgot about him. He is starting to swing the bat well lately.

Berrios starting just where he left off his previous two awful starts.
One flew east, one flew west, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest.
