Runner on 3rd with 1 out, and our best player is at the plate and grounds out to first. You have to get that run in.

The game I finally tune into and I'm seeing some good hits.

6 runs on 8 hits. I'd say that's pretty efficient!

Best Blue Jays game of the season! Everyone in that lineup has a hit tonight.

Luke Maile (Remember that guy??) pitched two scoreless innings last night for the Reds. Apparently, that was his 9th appearance as a pitcher. I didn't know he had that many and I sure don't remember him pitching for the Blue Jays.

The thread title is right. This organization is dysfunctional, and shows no signs of making any changes. It's hard to follow a team that makes the same mistakes over and over, almost like they're trying to lose. I can't even get excited about the younger guys, as by now I expect our coaching staff will ruin them. If we don't see major changes this off-season, next year will the second season in a row I don't attend a game and don't have Sportsnet.
I will always be a Blue Jays fan and still listen to the radio/watch highlights/follow box scores, but it's hard to have my usual enthusiasm for the team.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Pretty much the same for me. I've lost all faith in this FO and coaching staff and yet nobody is fired. So I've been to 2 games this year and watched maybe 4-5 in total.

This seems quite dramatic.
The team is 9-9 since the trade deadline and over that stretch is actually 13th in the MLB in team wRC+, tied for 12th in HR's, and 15th in runs scored.
No they won't make the playoffs, but this is watchable baseball, and several young players are playing well. They sold at the deadline and the team is actually playing better. The minor league system has become 10x more interesting to follow, with several prospects even bouncing back to life after poor starts (eg: Alan Roden).
Maybe you just don't like watching baseball that much, but there are quite a few teams who are less watchable than even this lost-season Jays team. You could be a fan of the Mariners who have the best rotation in baseball, bought at the deadline, and yet have completely collapsed and will need a massive turnaround to even make the playoffs at this point.

We would clearly be doing even better if you would just watch the damn games more often.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

I'll take the blame for this season... but that's all I'll do.

My girlfriend and I bought a 20 game pack of tickets, and neither of us have gone to a single game this season lol... After the front office failed to pivot from losing out on Ohtani in free agency, then failed to make any changes after the slow start, and as the losses mounted doubled down on the expectation of organic growth, I completely lost interest.

Yeah, I'm not going to evaluate this team based on only 18 games, a stretch including such powerhouse opponents as the A's, Cubs, Angels and Reds. The long-term track record of this front office, coaching staff (with the exception of Pete Walker, until this year anyway), analytics department, etc, is truly awful.

Reliever performance is so volatile. One year they’re lights out the next year they’re ass
