Maybe WAR stats just aren't that useful after all. At some point, it may sink in.

Your evidence of WAR not being useful is a single Atlanta Braves win in a baseball game? A team that has generated significantly more WAR than the Jays in 2024?

Not a single game, but the entire context.

The entire context of the Braves being better than the Jays this season while also outproducing them in WAR?

This Wagner guy is special!

Horwitz looking good too. Give him the reigns to 1B for next season. Move Guerrero to 3B. Wagner/Clement at 2B. Bo at SS. Get us another starting catcher. Kirk is a good backup. Infield is set.

Daulton Varsho strikes out swinging.

How many times have we heard that this season?

Let's not include OBP and BA when comparing a player's performance during the season. LOL.

Varsho is an average player and he's definitely not an MVP candidate. Get over your lovefest with him.

LOL, The Braves played the organ version of "I'm a little teapot" when Kirk came to bat. First time I noticed it this series.
LMAO or cheap crap by the Braves org down by 5 late. A little of both for me.

Horwitz with a surprising 11 homers in about half a season. Kind of a player without a position. Solid walk/K numbers shows he deserves a shot at full time DH. But is he good enough to trust?

Vladdy has been having trouble playing D at 1st. Moving him to third isn’t going to help.

Not sure what games you have been watching over the years. Vladdy is a solid defender at 1B. Some of you like to jump on his mistakes. Even the best of them make them once in a while. It's a long season. I'm fine with him at 3B, especially with his elite bat.

His defensive runs saved compared to average first basemen is negative every year I believe. The mistakes and the range are apparently worse than average.

Yes, let's dismiss the Gold Glove Award he won in 2022.

Only 1 hit so far. Is anyone not surprised at the outcome so far? Look at the genius manager's lineup for today's game.

George Springer
Ernie Clement
Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Alejandro Kirk
Leo Jiménez
Davis Schneider
Luis De Los Santos
Brian Serven
Joey Loperfido

A very weird attempt at a bad take.

Varsho has a 26.3% K-rate and is 41st in the league in total strikeouts. He has fewer strikeouts than Red Sox superstar Jarren Duran and a host of other players. Less strikeouts than Jazz Chisolm.

So to answer your question: you have "heard that" a fairly average amount of times this season.

Gee, its almost like they were loading the lineup with right handed hitters against an elite LHP.

Do you ever make a good point about anything?

LHB against Chris Sale this season: .198/.230/.313
