A throwing error and 2 passed balls later and were down 3-2 going into the bottom of the 8th. Need more than 2 runs if we’re going to be sacrificing defense and run prevention like this.

Springer and Varsho are a spectacular one-two punch! With these two individuals in our lineup at the top, we are that much closer to making the playoffs one day and winning the ultimate prize.. the WORLD SERIES baby!

0-8 with 4 SOs. Incredible performance.

I have bad news about the rest of the lineup last night. The problem isn’t the guy who provides significant value in the field. It’s the guys who don’t but also don’t hit that night. And also throw the ball away or can’t play catcher all of a sudden.

I especially liked the part where he asked if there's anyone in the dugout able to make that call. A not so subtle implication that the analytics department is still running the show, and Schneider is a stooge.

Francis has to be locked into a starting rotation spot next season.

"Team MVP" Varsho, no impact today so far.

He was at 110 pitches, fatigue was going to set in at some point.
