Given the current roster, where do you see this team finishing?

I think 3rd is a good bet if everything goes right, which hopefully puts us in contention for wild card spot. I think Yankees still have the best overall team despite losing Soto. Fried is a big get for them and I think their rotation is likely tops in the AL. Baltimore has a deadly lineup, but I think their starting pitching might hold them back. Red Sox are looking like a more complete team too. It's going to be a bloodbath in the East once again.

4th, but I can easily see us finishing last as well.

5th, Tampa will somehow find a way to win more games than anyone expects again.

Also, the Jays would probably win the AL Central with their current roster too.

Third, and being life or death to sneak into the last WC slot.

Also have them 3rd fighting for last WC. But a couple injuries could easily push us to 5th.

I voted 5th. Not expecting much more than 75-78 wins unless the moons magically align and all off Springer, Bitchette, Guerrero and Kirk have career years AND The aging pitching staff stays miraculously healthy.

Also Springer and Varsho better be batting 8th and 9th respectively. If i see Springer anywhere NEAR the leadoff spot again this year and Varsho in the 4-5 spot im not even gonna bother tuning in. Ive given up on Varsho offensively. Not expecting any more than .200/20/50 from him offensively.

Hope you guys are ready for a LOT of Hat tipping towards the other team from Schneider during post game interviews this season!

I think 4th, but I think if there is one team we are most likely to catch is the Yanks.

The Yanks are old -- on paper they could be #1, but things could turn south of them very quick. There batting order is not that deep - you are heavily relying on Stanton, Bellinger and Goldschmidt which is not a great bet to me.

Best case scenario is 4th, but I voted 5th.

Agreed on Bo, Vlad, and Kirky, but I don't think that Springer needs to have a career year - he can be demoted to 4th outfielder with Loperfido/Wagner, Varsho, and Santander taking most of the reps, if he's not producing.

Many are saying (Dan Szymborski of ZiPS among them) that this year's Jays team could be one of the best last-place-in-division teams ever.

until we see a full season of great from Springer, Bichette and Vladdy, this will be a long season

I’m a pessimist but the Yankees and Orioles have sustained significant injuries already- so maybe we catch a break. And Giancarlo Stanton was just reported as saying his elbows are in bad shape, not to expect him back any time soon. Also, Gerritt Cole is undergoing more imaging

Cole has been recommended for TJ surgery. Yankees want a second opinion.

Sucks for Cole, but that's a huge blow to the Yankees' playoff hopes and basically takes away a lot of the impact of adding Max Fried to that rotation. Plus Gill out for a while too. With how competitive the AL East is shaping up to be this year, I think that the Yankees will be hard-pressed to challenge for first place with their current roster.
