Apart from Springer, who are you referring to? I hope its not Clement who is terrible against RHP's (and has been particularly atrocious in July so far with a .182/.206/.182 line in 35 plate appearances; perhaps he needs a rest).

The catcher sitting out a day game immediately following a night game is common practice by basically every team in the league.

Imagine an ingenious strategy that would involve Kirk DH’ing and Springer playing in the outfield for one game.
