Minnesota Rodens (59-71) vs Toronto Varlands (76-55)

Post#1 » by JN » Mon Aug 25, 2025 9:12 pm

Would have liked to go 4-2 on the road last week, but 3-3 didn't kill us.
2 out of 3 in Miami was a good result, althoughwe did all we could not to get that second game.

Need to at least get 2 out of 3 in this series.

Vlad is back,Barger out of the lineup again. Seems like they are giving Barger a chance to try to regroup.

We were really propped up at times from mid-may to end of July by mid-tier guys like Lukes, Barger, Clement, Schneider, Loperfido, Heineman outdoing expectation ... at a time where Vlad, Bo were playing just OK and Varsho was out. They have mostly slowed down a lot in August.

Thankfully Vlad/Bo have stepped up in the second half and Varsho is back slugging to offset the regression of those guys above. And Springer continues to rake. But we need some of middle and lower roster hitters to step up in the next few weeks.

I know Lukes just got a solid double and Vladdy just struck out (come on man), but I still want to complain about not having Bo and Vladdy as the 2 and 3 hitters with Kirk/ Varsho following.

I don't want to see Lukes hitting second, especially in a playoff series.
