Big battle this weekend.
Despite the bullpen "Best" efforts, we have actually gained a 0.5 game of ground on the Yanks this week, and a full game on the Red Sox.

Nice to know that, if everything goes wrong, we're waking up Monday morning still ahead of the Yankees for the tie-breaker.

A sweep here buries New York.

Glad we've got a day to rest our bullpen. Hope the Yankes-Stros tonight goes 15 innings.

Dave Pipkins for MVP.

As I posted yesterday during the game regarding Don Mattingly.

If we can just win 1...then losing 1 game in the standings isn't the worst outcome. Avoid the sweep!!!

Biggest series of the season until the Red Sox series. Absolutely can't get swept. Even winning one game is an ok outcome. But if we somehow sweep the Yankees, they're basically out of the division race.

Hopefully both Fluharty and Fisher are up tomorrow. Send down both Tate and Varland (Varland looks like his 2024 Garbage Version with the Twins), and could use time in Buffalo to figure things out. Cannot trust Varland in any situation, as evident by his last month of work including last night.

Anything but a sweep is a win for us at this point. Losing the series 2-1 would ensure we still have effectively 3.5 games ahead, with 17 games left to go we are pretty comfortable

3-0: WS bound
2-1: Division is ours
1-2: Fire Schneider
0-3: Fire everyone

It’s a big series for sure

When i was playing football in my 20s those were the type of games that would keep me up at night because i was too amped up. Believe me the boys are fired up to play in the Bronx, they're ready.

We suck right now. But I still expect the Yankees to choke this series.

Aaron Judge playing under pressure will have like 1 hit in the series.

How many HRs will Stanton hit though

I don't worry about the Yankees. As long as the Jays come ready and fired up we're good.

I really hope we come out of the gate hot against New York tomorrow. I get the feeling that if we can win Friday, they're going to start cracking under pressure.

Not sure after the trade deadline, but the Jays do match up well against the Yankees. Just can't get swept in this series and the Jays should be in good shape to win the division.
