Nine Games Left.

We're not home, but if we climb the telephone pole, we can definitely see our house from here.

According to https://www.playoffstatus.com/mlb/bluejaysclinch.html, there are three possibilities for the Jays to punch their ticket to the postseason tonight.

Jays need to win (and wow, a two day losing streak feels enormous at this time of the year, doesn't it?)
Two of the Tigers, Red Sox, and Guardians need to lose.

That's it. If we can take care of business, and two of our opponents can't, we're in. If we don't (or if they do) we play on.

Looks like a playoff-worthy rotation for the series.

If they clinch tonight, I hope they don’t celebrate.

That should be saved for clinching the division/bye.

I think everybody celebrates when they clinch the playoffs. That is just the tradition. (Would need to check what Milwaukee and Philly did once they clinched a playoff spot).

I suppose since they have other goals (like the bye) perhaps the celebration is a little more subdued.

Two years ago, this Jays team celebrated so hard making it to the Wild Card, that they thought they had won the World Series (lol). You had guys like Santiago Espinal and others thinking they had won the Championship with their antics.

This team forgot that they still had games to play, and were embarrassed by the Twins in the Wild Card series. Let's not repeat that again. Leave the celebrations for actually winning something in October.

Guerrero and pounding the ball into the dirt at the SS. Name a better duo. Guy looks completely cooked.

I was envisioning a Springer homerun to lead off the game

Ya, you can't roll the dice on Max in the playoffs.

Hasn't been the same since he had the back issue like 5 starts ago? I think #3 starter is Yesavage or Bassitt (only if home game and even then lol)

Yesavage is much better than the Scherzer we’ve seen this month. Only his reputation/track record would get him a postseason start at this point.
