Get 5+ runs and we have a decent chance.
Good to see us rake a bit last night.

It's just baseball. We're pretty good at baseball.

Last time we played a three game set in Seattle, we swept it.

Lets do that this time as well. One game at a time.

Final score: 8-5

Easy W. Scherzer will turn back the clock for this start and give us an all-time performance.

Remember when Yesavage went against Fried? People said the same thing. Who knows, he's been there done it before so I wouldn't count him out.

The positive is over the last two seasons we’ve faced Castillo four times and hit him around in three of those starts.

This year:
April 20th - 5 innings 10 hits 3 ER 2 walks 5 K’s
May 9th - 5 innings 7 hits 5 ER 2 walks 3 K’s

Last year:
April 8th - 5 innings 9 hits 4 ER 1 walk 6 K’s
July 5th - 6.2 innings 2 hits 1 ER 2 walks 8 K’s

So that July 5th start last year was really good. But in the other three combined his numbers are:

15 innings 26 hits 12 ER (7.20 ERA) 5 walks 14 K’s

This isnt the same Castillio his fastball velo has dropped off a cliff. He kinda has a similar profile to 2025 Bieber hes hittable (whether we actually do or not is a different story) lmao

Fried was a playoff choker, Castillo not so much.

IKF in the lineup over Santander and Davis in the biggest game in 9 years.

Unserious lineup, unserious franchise.

I do not understand this franchise's obsession with IKF

There’s no way this bum owns us again.

Win tonight and we’re going back to Toronto up 3-2

IKF has had some success against Castillo (5 for 13 with a HR), but the move still makes very little sense especially considering Castillo has struggled against LHB this season (nearly 66% more baserunners as well as extra base hits than vs RHB in nearly identical plate appearances). I hope IKF proves us all wrong, but it’s going to be a very bad look if he has any kind of issues in the field again and/or doesn’t produce at all offensively.
