Since the season is still early and the forum is a little slow I thought we could talk about our favourite memories at the Skydome/Rogers Centre for baseball.

So what game will you never forget? Have you ever caught a baseball or a flying bat? How sun burnt have you got in the middle of the summer with the roof open on the dome? Anyone got any interesting stories?

I got absolutely toasted last season vs Seattle. Sat behind first base and it was about 35 degrees and the sun was directly in my face for the whole game, and it was the game that went about 13 innings.

I was at the 2nd game ever at the Skydome.

It began to rain, so it was the first time they closed the room in the middle of a game

I'll always remember George Bell moving his fingers above his glove indicating that it was raining in the outfield heh

I only have one baseball game at Rogers Center. It was when Lilly and Gibbons got into that argument. I loved the game because it was a slugfest i remember standing up so many times lol. I still dont know how the hell we lost that game last year.

I was there that night when Carlos hit 4 home runs.

Watching the series finale of Star Trek Next Generation with 30,000 of my Klingon brotherhood.

whose the boss - was that the game that AJ pitched? I was sitting 1st base side too, that was killer.

Another story: ( happened when i was 10-11) I was sitting two rows off field, first base side a fly ball was hit in my direction, Olerud tried to make a play for it, but it landed in a little girls cup splashing everyone (olerude included). Girl's mom, wipes off ball, hands it to little girl, who is pretty p!$$ed off and she almost throws it at Olerud.

Game 4 1992 World Series homerun by Pat Borders. 2-1 Jays victory. Was sitting in the section the ball was hit at.

I think I was in 2nd Grade went to extra innings and Timlin picked up the save in a thriller against the White Sox....

They were giving away free shampoo that day and when leaving I grabbed two along with my dad taking one LOL.... I felt pretty weird having 2 but then I got on the subway and saw others with about 10 in their jackets.... ahh good times...

Sitting right above Jays Bullpen watching John Cerutti warming up and me and a few guys I was with couldn't believe how slow his pitching was. He musta had absolute pinpoint control.

My favourite memory at the ex was getting some scalped tickets on third base line front row vs KC. For those old enough that was when Bo Jackson was busting out in both NFL and MLB. The guy was freaking huge I swear his thighs where as big as my waist (then). Seeing Bo was awesome but on top of that Gruber hit for the cycle that day.

My first Blue Jay game came in 1992, it was against the Cleveland Indians and we were tied going into extra innings. Joe Carter is at the plate and I remember my dad yelling "See that wall over there? HIT IT OVER IT" and well.... He did to win the game. I'll never forget that, Joe has been my favorite Jay since

Oh and how can I forget, a young pitcher by the name of Roy Halladay getting the start on the last game of the season vs the Detroit Tigers and taking a no-hitter into the 9th inning with 2 outs before Higginson hits it out of the park

I was belted in the arm by a line drive foul ball care of Roberto Alomar. Created a big welt. Still have the ball.

Did he spit on you after?

Saw Barry Bonds hit a huge homerun off of Roy Halladay. Missed The final game of the Spurs-Nets Series to see that, and it was well worth it.

My best memory is at the Olympic Stadium...

My dad catching a ball for me and saving some old lady from getting hit by the ball lol

I guess probably my favorite memories are the pitchers I have seen..


Jack Morris, Pat Hentgen, Juan Guzman, Roger Clemens, David Wells, Roy Halladay...

Really is a testament to our storied franchise...I only attended my first game in '92...to have seen so many big names in only 15 years is amazing

My favourite moment was probably last year, when Vernon hit the walk off HR vs Rivera. The crowd went nuts!

I was at Game 6 of the 1993 World Series when Joe Carter hit the Home Run off Mitch Williams
with my dad about 20 rows behind the Blue Jays dugout. Can still remember watching the ball
in the air then looking at Pete Incaviglia move closer to the fence then pandemonium. Still remember
peoples faces in the crowd, signs in the crowd, stories and songs they played on the Jumbotron.

Also was on the field to lip sing the national anthem with my school choir during a game against
Milwaukee in 1992 when the Dome was a complete sell out. I think it was Jack Morris vs. Chris Boiso
on the mound that day but can't fully remember.

Some other interesting games I've been to was when Roberto Alomar spit in the umpires face in his
return to Toronto, Jose Bautista hitting his 50th HR against the Mariners in 2010 and the first and
possibly only bug delay in Jays history against the Brewers in the early 90's.
