Fri Night Game Thread: Tigers @ Jays

Date: Friday, April 13, 2007
First Pitch: 7:07pm
TV: Rogers Preview
Radio: Fan590
Pitching matchup
DET: RHP Jeremy Bonderman (0-0, 3.75 ERA)
Bonderman has a 3.46 ERA versus Toronto, his third lowest versus any American League team. The right-hander is 2-1 in seven career appearances versus the Jays.
TOR: RHP Roy Halladay (1-0, 3.46 ERA)
Halladay's first Major League victory came against Detroit back in 1998. He came within one out of recording a no-hitter. His bid was broken up when he was taken deep by outfielder Bobby Higginson.
MLB.com Note:
With Johnson questionable for Friday's game, outfielder Matt Stairs likely will get the call in left field for the second straight game. That could be good news for the Jays, because Stairs has the highest batting average versus Bonderman of anyone on the team. He is hitting .476 (10-for-21) with three home runs and eight RBIs against the righty.
ESPN.com Note:
Third baseman Troy Glaus won't play Friday after leaving Thursday's game as he continues to be bothered by a sore left heel. Glaus, who is 8-for-24 (.333) with two homers and five RBIs in 2007, is day-to-day.
Tigers probable lineup:
1. Granderson CF
2. Polanco 2B
3. Sheffield DH
4. Ordonez RF
5. Guillen SS
6. Rodriguez C
7. Casey 1B
8. Monroe LF
9. Inge 3B
Blue Jays probable lineup:
1. Rios RF
2. Overbay 1B
3. Wells CF
4. Thomas DH
5. Stairs LF
6. Hill 2B
7. Zaun C
8. Clayton SS
9. MacDonald 3B
