"We call it 'pound down,' pound the strike zone and keep it down," Jays pitching coach Brad Arnsberg said of a catch phrase that embodies the club's pitching philosophies and approaches.
Every Jays pitcher understands the emphasis behind the phrase, but lately it has been repeatedly filtered into the minds of Jeremy Accardo, Dustin McGowan, Shaun Marcum and Jesse Litsch.
