Was mentioned in the game thread, but this probably deserves it's own topic.

The litany of injuries continues. It's become depressing, really.
At least we'll get to see how our young stud first base prospect performs. Err...

Man, what a year...
i was watching the score, and it showed a list of players currently out for the Jays, and it was a lot of guys. Not to mention some of the players who have been hurt are back now, ie Glaus and Doc.
If we can somehow get the guys back soon healthy, hopefully we can make a push for the WC. Twins were like 8 games under .500 around this time, and went on the win 90 games or so.
Anything is possible..... i hope

our lineup is just sooo sweet with everyone available, but for now its looking pretty tattered
Johnson
Overbay
Wells
Glaus
Thomas
Rios
Hill
Zaun
Clayton / Johnn Mac
and that still leaves Stairs, Lind and Phillips to cycle in! Just beautiful and having RJ at leadoff lets you move Rios further down and makes that middle of the lineup more potent. With Zaun playing there isnt an easy out save for maybe Johnny Mac but hes a singles machine of late.
Right now were down to what (on days Tory doesnt play which is often these days)
Clark

You're right. With the injuries (some of which should be expected by a professional team), our lineup does look a little ramshackle. IMO, that's where having a productive farm system helps. Holes can, ideally, be filled by up-and-coming prospects which can have the happy consequence of creating tradeable assets or even full-time replacements for ageing or expensive veterans.
And this is where the Jays have been let down by Ricciardi. The starting line-up of the team is potentially good enough to contend... but where's the depth? Where's the farm?
... If he screws up the upcoming draft....
