Former World Series MVP and four-time All-Star Troy Glaus, currently a third baseman for the Toronto Blue Jays, received multiple shipments of performance-enhancing steroids through an allegedly illegal internet distribution network, according to information obtained by SI.

I know a lot of people are going to be upset and freak out, but remember one thing: MLB didnt ban any of these substances until 2005, so Glaus and Ankiel cannot be punished.

Not that I am saying they were in the right, they do deserve a little tarnish on their careers now, but just saying it wasnt illegal.

Too bad the substances couldn't help his average.

Unless he was taking performance enhancing drugs when he belted 47 dingers in 2000 and 41 and 2001 perhaps he was using the drugs to help him rehab.

But doesn't make that right though.

or lackthereof. Lets keep the discussion on something that there is proof of, not pure speculation because you are upset a guy is having a bad year.

Well techincally he hasn't done anything wrong since the drugs weren't banned till 2005 but he still did buy steriods. I'll judge him on how he reacts to this. If pulls the usaual "I've never taken steriods" crap i'll put him on the list with Bonds, Sosa etc. But if he mans up and come's clean i'll still respect the guy.

I'm not going to believe anything just yet because all this is so far is speculation. Just because some 'source' said his address was there, doesn't mean much at this point in time.

Honestly, everyone here needs to read Game of Shadows. Just finished reading a copy from the library. It helps you to realize how prevalent steroids are, and how easily these guys are willing to take things, even by injecting. I always would figure steroids would be hard to take because of needles, but apparently not. And yes, I know the Cream and the Clear were not injectables.

And for more speculation, totally on my part....I oh so believe Matt Stairs will be next in line. You heard it here first.

Really? Some of you are surprised? Did you all think the jays had no one who had done 'roids? Because he's got to be candidate number one on the list here.
