Joe Torre

Let's say the Yankee's lose, and Torre is canned...

Would he be what this team is looking for?

- Would he have interest in Toronto if they have interest in him?
- Would he be too rich for the Jays?
- J.P doesn't have any future plans for the mangers position?
- Gibbons here to stay?
- Should the Jays even pursue him?

Just a thought...

He is a very good manager - underrated because of the players he coaches. The Jays wouldnt be willing to pay what he could command from a team like the Cardinals.

He might just retire if him and the Yankees decide to go different directions.

Who knows though, if Ted Rogers is willing to fork out he might want to come to the Jays so he could stay in the AL East and get back at the Yanks.

I'd rather try to get La Russa (if he doesn't re-sign in St. Louis). But i have a feeling that he will end up in New York.

Torre would be nice to have, but somehow I don't think he'd want to manage here.

Ya I don't think Torre would want to manage here but wouldn't it be sweet to get Torre as a manager and win the division with the Yanks in 2nd place
