I think its Insider, so I cant copy and paste, but its a good read. It identifies the 3 main problems with voting: voting for past winners (how Maddux got the vote this year), voting for superstars who excel offensively but arent the best defensively at their position (David Wright and Jimmy Rollins this year), and going by fielding percentage.

Jays notes:
-He makes no mention of Vernon Wells (good, because he had a poor year).
-He says Aaron Hill, Mark Ellis and Robinson Cano would have been better choices than Polanco for 2B because despite having zero errors, Polanco played a lot less innings and made a lot less plays than the other 3.
-Said though Cabrera led the AL SS in fielding percentage, Jason Bartlett, Tony Pena "and especially John MacDonald were more deserving."

GG voting is such a joke.... It seems more like a popularity contest, and bonus points are given if a team performs well

I would have liked to see Hill win, but its outrageous that Jonny Mac wasn't the SS gold glove recipient.

I'm not sold on Johnny Mac as a GG winner. I saw him make too many key errors this year. I know he gets to a lot of balls, but still, I want my GG winner to be a vacuum cleaner in the field, no matter if it's 1st inning, none out, or 9th inning, bases loaded.
