Looks good with BJ in the Bulpen and maybe Chacin in the roation. But i hope thats not all were working with.

Then again on paper winning teams are teams that have plyers having good years if these guys all have a good year and for some a break out year. Were a GOOD team.

Why do some you have McGowan after Marcum. McGowan is the better pitcher in my opinion.

his upside is def. larger and he has better 'stuff' than marcum, i just find marcum a bit more consistent.....he's almost a guaranteed 6/7 IP guy that'll keep you in the game given you have the offense.

dustin is just a bit more erratic to me IMO

I think Marcum had the record for most no hitters for 6 innings lol.

Why does everyone seem to have Wells hitting 3rd? He absolutely killed the offense last year. He doesn't draw walks and even his power and average numbers were down last year. Wouldn't it be better to bat him down the lineup until he proves that he's got his stroke back rather than let him kill the middle of the order once again?

And I would hope that Gibbons isn't going to play Johnson against RHP ahead of Matt Stairs. Stairs was our best hitter last season and absolutely murdered RHP.

I have a feeling either Stairs will regress significantly in 2008 to the point where Johnson will end up taking the starting LF spot from him, or Johnson will have a hot stretch early on and Gibbons will keep him as the everyday player. If that happens, then bat Johnson 8th or 9th against RHP.

Stairs will almost certainly regress from last season but he'll still be better against RHP than Reed. Reed has never really hit RHP well. And if Stairs gets hurt, I hope they turn to Lind as the platoon partner. Reed can be the late inning defensive sub in both cases.

No other place for him but here

He's the textbook 5-spot hitter

Rolen:
No pressure here- let him revise his career and he'll see a lot of astballs with the 5 hitters in front of him

Hill:
He's going to hit 20/80 this year

Zaun:
Not a 9-hole hitter

Stewart:
