Thanks...I don't know how we can keep Rios at #2, we need him to drive in some runs. I'd put Overbay or Stewart /Stairs at the 2 spot and put Rios at 3. Wells and Rolen at 4/5.
We are going to need big years from Rolen and Wells.

Yeah, I'd like Overbay to hit higher against RHP. I like Rios at #2 for his speed, but I'd like him to attempt at least 30 steals (which I doubt he'll get in Toronto).
I didn't think Rolen would hit that high in the lineup, but if he's in good shape and hitting the ball well I don't see any problems with that.
I remember hearing Gibbons earlier during spring training saying that he wanted Wells in the #3 spot this year, because he feels comfortable there. I like that spot for him, as long as he's going to get on base and drive in some runs.

I also think Rios should hit 3rd because he can really drive in runs. Kind of like Magglio Ordonez.
SS David Eckstein
1B Lyle Overbay
RF Alex Rios
CF Vernon Wells
DH Frank Thomas
3B Scott Rolen
LF Matt Stairs/Shannon Stewart
2B Aaron Hill
C Gregg Zaun
This lineup looks better, Overbay moves to second and Rolen and Frank switch spots.

I like this lineup much more...
SS-Eckstein
2B-Hill
CF-Wells
DH-Thomas
RF-Rios
3B-Rolen
1B-Overbay
LF-Stewart/Stairs
C-Zaun
Hill was really productive last year hitting at the 2 spot...Also Rios and Rolen could benefit from hitting behind the Big 2 in Thomas and Wells. This is a great team everyone in this lineup has some pop in their bat and everyone could hit 15+ HR's except Eckstein who is in their for his speed, walks, steals and extra base hits. The Jays could shock a lot of people but everything's on McGowan, Marcum and Litsch to repeat their stellar pitching from last season and also we need Rolen and Burnett to stay HEALTHY!

I think that Rios needs to hit thirs as of right nowhe is our best hitter. I also think they need to keep Frank in the cleanup spot as he is a well known and feared hitter. Haing hill as number two is something I also like although it is a spot Rolen might slip into at some point. When Rolen come back I think he will bat ahead of Stair/Stew and maybe Overbay as well.
Exstein
Hill/Rolen
Rios
Thomas
Wells
Overbay
Stew/Stairs
Scutaro/Hill
Zaun
