Another big series early in the year. I'm seriously looking forward to tonight.
Game #1: Shaun Marcum vs. Tim Wakefield
Game #2: Jesse Litsch vs. Clay Buchholz
Game #3: Roy Halladay vs. Josh Beckett
Discuss. Go Jays!

Another tough series ahead, I hope the offense will be better in this one than against the Yanks.
I wanted to be in Toronto for the opening series against Boston (like I did in '05) but I couldn't make it happen!
GO JAYS!

Scoring runs is highly overrated. Frank Thomas should probably find his way down to 6th in the order, at least until he comes around in June...I wince every time he's late on a pitch (obviously not a problem tonight, but it certainly was against the Yankees).

Marcum is awesome tonight! Let's give him a little run support!

Marcum's looking pretty solid through 5. The rotation's been great so far. Hopefully they can keep this up.

I think Thomas could move down once rolen comes back, but it isn't as if overbay is tearing it up either yet. After overbay you get into the hill/scutaro/zaun part of the lineup, so you could maybe move frank down 1 spot...

Nice to see the Skydome filled up again, and the Retro jerseys look great.
Marcum looks solid tonight, but unfortunately Wakefield looks good too. Hopefully that dinosaur will get tired soon.
Gotta multi task between the Jays and the Raps

no multi tasking for me, the raptors have been pissing me off lately... i'm assuming there gonna win against the bobcats, it's all blue jays for me, i threw her on nesn though, i was getting tired of hearing about alomar and such from tabler and campbell.

Marcum is dealing...six innings on sixty pitches.
Re: spyke...I'm somewhat torn on Thomas, only because moving him to sixth means that his OBP might be wasted by our awful 7-8-9. On the other hand, if he can't catch a fastball, he's not driving much in. Overbay hasn't been much better in terms of production, but his swing looks much better at this juncture.

i just don't like the fact thomas is a rally killer, IMO
i was the biggest thomas fan in chicago, but in toronto i dont know, i think we need someone with consistancy.

I hear ya schad. I'm willing to give Thomas the benefit of the doubt. I can handle a slow start for a couple weeks if he then comes around. If it's going to be half the season well that's a different story... I also hear ya on overbay. He isn't getting the hits per say but he's been hitting the ball on the button. I dunno, I don't think moving thomas down 1 spot is going to benefit us or him any at this juncture. Give him time if he continues and continues to struggle, then maybe look for a change but it's too early for tinkering yet IMO.
