The Blue Jays enter this series having won seven of the last eight, 13-4 since midday May 12th. Not sure how that happened, but I'll roll with it.

Game One, May 30th, 10:00pm EST

vs.

Jared Weaver (4-5, 4.16/1.25)

Jays win, 10-4: W - McGowan (4-4), L - Weaver (4-6)

[b]Game Two, May 31st, 9:00pm EST

Shaun Marcum (5-3, 2.64/0.83)

vs.

John Lackey (1-1, 2.05/1.09)

Jays lose, 3-2: W - Shields (3-1), L - Tallet (0-1).

[b]Game Three, 3:30 EST

A.J. Burnett (5-5, 4.57/1.48)

vs.

Jon Garland (5-3, 3.98/1.42)

[b]Jays lose, 4-3: W - Arrendondo (2-0), L - Ryan (1-1).

It really doesn't seem like we've went 13-4 since mid May. It seems like only yesterday I wasn't laughing at how bad the Jays were.

Weird, eh? Even knowing that they were playing well, it was a surprise to realize how good they've been. Really, we take the pitching for granted at this point...giving up four runs in a game seems like a bad outing, when it's below the league average. Of course, when the staff has given up eight runs in the last eight games (a couple unearned, IIRC), you're bound to get spoiled.

I can only imagine where this team would be without the pitching we've been getting... The same can also be said about the hitting.

Things have been going well lately, amazing pitching. If we could somehow add a proven hitter to play in the LF.

Let's go Jays...let's take another 2 out of 3.

I want to pass those frauds in Tampa and leave them in our dust.

I'm going to say we take 1 out of 3 in Anaheim. 2 out of 3 would be amazing. A sweep and I'm in heaven!

just noticed the thread title

I hope they didn't use up their quota of runs all of last game, and still have some left for this series. I like the current lineup but would probably move Rios down in the order to get some pressure off him.

I like tonight's pitching matchup, hopefully Chops will have another quality start.

GO JAYS!

I agree. I would like to see Rios moved down the lineup. Let's hope he has a good night tonight!

GO JAYS GO!

overbay is swinging the bat well right now. Nice to get the early lead, it's just too bad he's an inning to late with that shot...

I wonder if they would have tagged on that if that was Vernon in centrefield

Rolen was out by a mile there. Jays got lucky with that call.

edit: after seeing the replay he was safe.

Weaver has thrown 78 pitches through three innings. The Jays should get the deluxe tour of the bullpen tonight.

McGowan has many of the annoying characteristics Burnett has, but for some reason I like him. What the hell was that sequence? A 4 pitch walk, followed by a throw into right field on a bunt that led to the run. Terrible.

I'm loving it.

I've never seen that before: Scioscia out arguing that the ball hit Barajas, which should have loaded the bases. Why do you care? You can always int-walk him...

I turn away for 15 minutes and I return to see good things :)
