Mench sent to AAA, League Recalled

Adam Lind was called up to take Marcum's place and Cito wants him to play everyday!

Mench was sent down and Brandon League was called up sparking rumors as why would they call up another reliever when they need another starter...oh wait, could League be that starter :-?

Mench Down, League Up

League isn't starting. The Jays have Monday off, which postpones any kind of real decision for a few days as they can go with a four-man rotation until July 1st. David Purcey would be on schedule for that start if he throws a short outing in five days (he got lit up tonight), FWIW.

Yeah it looks like Gaston wants to give him a real shot to prove himself while playing everyday.

I'm glad to see League called up too!

Great swing on Lind's homerun yesterday. 2 for 3 with a walk in there as well- I would love for him to stick and play well. He deserves it and I would rather roll the dice on our systems product then some waiver pick up like Mench or Wilkerson. Stewart technically is a productr of our system, but he's hurt.

What's up with Aaron Hill? Seems like they are way too quiet on his condition. I don't like it, but hey, Voodoo Joe is doing just fine right now.

Sounds like they are waiting on Hill to be symptom-free for a full week before sending him for a rehab stint. Could be a couple days, could be a full month...nothing you can do to rush the return from a concussion.
