Will Halladay Walk?

Post#1 » by Victorious1 » Fri Jul 25, 2008 5:02 pm

Roy Halladay apparently has complained that he is fedup of not playing any meaningfull games in September. The only way to keep him happy is for the Jays to be a serious contender either this year (which ain't gonna happen), or next year by making some creative moves and taking some risks. Especially with the huge restrictive contracts we currently have.
I know trading Halladay is an option but, I believe you win with pitching. And Roy Halladay is one of the BEST.

What can the Jays do to turn this team into serious contenders by next year and keep Roy Halladay from walking?

Fire JP is what the Jays can do. His 5 year plan to contend has failed. Bring someone else in. A new look might help this team. If this ship doesn't get turned around quickly, Halladay won't be happy.. and if your not happy you walk, or request a trade.

Clearly Gibbons wasn't the fault, but he had to go. And now it is clear that the team JP built is crap. Wells is way overrated, Rios got his money and doesn't care, Halladay can't wait to boil out of town, the young pitchers aren't as bulletproof as he thought and the list goes on....

As long as JP is here, this team will never do anything special.
