squeaked out another one. That's so typical of this team - stink it up early in the year, and finish strong when they're already out of it.
btw i don't think we should re-sign schad in the off season.

Im really excited about Snider. The kid is showing patience at the plate, and has power and is only 20 years old. Scary stuff! I can only imagine.

TRAVIS SNIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3-3, with a HR and hitting .467 on the season.

Does anyone care if we finish the season ahead of the Yankees? Might be an accomplishment...

I would like to for bragging rights... but just in case AJ signs with the Yanks, I'd like to have their draft pick, so I'd want them to finish higher in the standings..

Heh, so much for my prediction that Snider would fall flat on his face at 20.

Snider, Lind, Wells, Rios outfield looks really good right now. This team is coming together. 7 games over .500!

Anyone else notice Litch has kept his pitches down. This is the key to his success!! Looking good tonight. He won't overpower you with his pitches or give you many KO's. It's all about location for this kid.

How did Snider look in the outfield?? Can someone comment on his defensive competency & awareness?
Also, man, what a great player Lind is so far! and Snider! WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Wow.. the offense came alive.. AGAIN!
Snider has been very impressive so far. This kid is going to be HUGE for us if he builds on the last 2 outings. I still wouldn't want him to play everyday cuz he might hit a slump and that might end up hurting his confidence.. A break or two in between outings would be good for his longterm progress as a hitter..
So lets see... Inglett, Wells, Rios, Hill, Snider, Lind.. thats a solid hitting core.. add Scutaro, Overbay and Rolen to the mix and the lineup suddenly looks potent.. ofcourse the key here is that Wells stays injury free throughout the next season, Rios rediscovers his pop, Hill comes back healthy without any short or longterm effects of the concussion, Linds grows into a even better hitter and Snider becomes our cleanup guy with monster power.. if all this happens, this blue jays hitting looks dangerous.. if these guys all start hitting big next year, we can surely slide in Johnny Mac as the 9 hitter and let his defense compensate for his lackluster hitting.. or perhaps if Hill could be moved to SS, we can have Inglett play 2B
Inglett
Hill SS
Rios RF
Wells CF
Lind LF
Snider DH
Overbay 1B
Rolen 3B
Barajas C
Reserves:
Scutaro - Platoon at 2B
Johnny Mac - Fills in on Hill's off days and bats 9th
Bautista - Fills in for Rolen at 3B, Overbay at 1B and Snider at DH
Arencibia - Backs up Barajas as a mid-season callup next year?
Pitchers:
Halladay
Marcum
Listch
McGowan
Jensen / Downs / Purcey / Richmond / FA 3rd starter
Pen:
Carson
Downs / Jensen / Purcey / Richmond
Ryan
League
Tallet
Accardo
Frasor / Camp
Not bad at all I say.. But I think we need to sign a power bat (perhaps at 1B to replace Overbay) to add more offense to this lineup..

I agree, we're maybe a power bat away from establishing our offense. Also might need to sign a 3rd starter since AJ is surely leaving.
I also think Lind will become the DH and Snider will play left. Snider's better defensively I think.

So if Snider finishes the season on a high note, does that mean that he will be back next season? Or will they send him back to AAA and this just being a test run?

I think they'll take a strong look at him in spring training if he finishes this year off strong in the majors.. The last thing we want to do is rush our best prospect. Even though he hasn't disappointed yet, I'd rather take it slow than just rush him risking the chance of his confidence getting a major hit incase he starts struggling at the plate.. that can be dangerous for a 20 yr old..
