I have noticed, everysince Zaun got back behind the plate, our pitchers have struggled. I am so glad that we won't have that Mofo anymore come next year. The **** can't call a decent game even if his life depended on it. F'in mofo!

I hate seeing the dome filled up with all those bandwagon Sox fans. I know some of them are true Red Sox fans but the others are just glory hounds.

Anyway good win today (first game i've watched in a while) :-?

i really hope doc gets 20 wins this season... he deserves it, and deserves a lot better than this sorry-ass team.

sucks that he only has one shot at it against the yanks, who seem to be out their little slump

Went to check out the last home game against the Yankee's, it was my first time ever watching a baseball game live and all i can say is, It was Amazing! ... The energy in the field was just crazy, the game is even more fun to watch when your pretty much drunk and yelling on top of your lungs. (well depends if your section is rowdy or not)

Oh yea forgot to mention, caught a Foul ball :D ; that along with a funny moment where a jay's fan grabs the New era cap of a yankee fan and runs off with it  ... gonna post the image when my buddy is done uploading all the pictures.

lol i'd defintely wanna see pics of that lol..

i haven't been to a jays game in a looooooong time, is it always rowdy? or is it due to the large crowd that the yanks attracted?

Well it could be also that it was the last home game of the season, and facing the yanks is a bonus ... so pretty much bit of both. I was lucky enough to get one those outspoken rowdy jays fan in front of me so i was just doing what they were doing lol ... oh yea had to thank them fans as well for the foul ball cause they actually left there seats to get some snacks (4 or 5 of them), lol well lets just say they weren't too pleased when i was rubbing it in/thanking them for not being there.

One rather surprising and perhaps overlooked item this season: Vernon Wells has stopped striking out. Counting tonight (game in progress) he has just eight strikeouts in his last 135 at-bats, against ten walks...and ten home runs.

He'll still chase pitches from time to time, and he's no better at drawing walks (worse, actually), but his low K rate (10.9% this year, down from 15% last) has probably been good for 10-15 points of batting average when his BA/BIP is taken into consideration.

This could be either a blessing or a curse; if it's sustainable, his increased average might compensate somewhat for his total inability to take a walk, which could keep his OBP respectable, though not good by any stretch. However, there's a decent possibility that this is a mirage; if his K rate returns to normal next year, Wells could be in for a bit of a letdown in 2009.
