these 2 will not resign with the yanks considering the 3 huge contracts they just signed. i say we release or try to trade overbay then throw giambi in at 1st. then bobby could play dh. then we put in snider in left with lind on the bench or trade one of them for a 2nd starter

Those two players would definitely improve this team, but since when do the Jays throw around that type of money? After the last couple of off seasons, I am not too confident that JP will make any significant moves, he'll tweak here and there, then try to justify keeping the team as is.

the loss of AJ frees up 15mil off the books this year... thats something to play with. We have to do something though, because Sabathia and Teixiera are both type A free agents like Burnett, their teams were also compensated with top draft picks, because Sabathia and Teixiera are higher caliber than Burnett... the first round pick we were supposed to have got is now a 3rd round pick. Angels and Brewers got 1st and 2nd rounders.

I'm not expecting much so long as JP is still GM

until he's gone, i expect the Jays to do nothing and only continue to lose and teeter-totter from season to season between good pitching/bad pitching and good hitting/bad hitting
