Fellas, I'm in a keeper league, know way more about hoops than baseball.
Which two of these players do I keep?
Evan Longoria
Johan Santana
Prince Fielder
Jay Bruce
B.J. Upton
Ervin Santana
Aramis Ramirez
Geovany Soto

go with fielder and santana (play it safe)

I would agree (as long as its Johan, not Ervin) however Longoria is compelling.

Really? Longoria was a given for me, I was debating between Fielder and Johan.
Longoria's already behind only A-Rod and Braun at 3B and has the potential to catch Braun.
I'm pretty sure not choosing him would be a huge mistake.
Fielder was awesome two years ago, but garbage last year. There are a lot of good first basemen and not as many good third basemen.

I would tend to agree with you about Longoria, but he could be in line for the sophomore slump.
With Fielder being a bit of a center of controversy with the Brewers when last I heard, Santana seems like a pretty easy choice to me.
(Of course, this all really depends on your league's set up. Or so I am told.)

Re: Keeper league, which two do I keep?
My advice would be Longoria and Johan Santana. Because it's a keeper league you have to take into account whom the other managers will be keeping as well. This makes position 'scarcity' a premium. If you have someone in the top 3 at their position you would do well to keep them. Santana is obviously a top 3 and Longoria should be considered as well. Plus, while other managers are wondering how the hell they are going to fill their need at 3rd you could more than likely scoop up Fielder or Upton again.
Normally I would avoid keeping a SP as your keeper just because there are so many to choose from, but if you have Santana or Lincecum I think you keep them.
Fielder is good but there are just so many 1stB around that his loss can be overcome. Plus, you have to figure that the other managers will be thinking along a similar line. I would rather 'reach' during a draft and pick Carlos Pena than settle with a Feliz or Rolen manning the hot corner.
