WT: Swisher pitches a scoreless inning for the yankees

So.... Nick Swisher should at least be in the conversation for AL Player of the week.
He hit like... .500 with 2 homers and 10 rbi's....
AND AS OF TONIGHT.... he pitched a scoreless 8th inning.
LOL... Chien Ming Wang got blown out and the bullpen was thin....
So Swisher pitched the 8th.. he walked the first batter, gave up a single.... then he struck some on out and recorded the next 2 outs for a scoreless 8th. Thats classic.
Kind of a feel good laugh.

I saw that lol. Swisher is their best slugger and pitcher.

I honestly can't believe he struck someone out. That's gotta feel bad coming back into the dugout after you got struck out by a fielder.

Alfred, I think it would hurt more to be taken down by a catcher. Sure they know the game and strategy, but I question their overall ability at times.

Didn't Canseco try this in a game and killed his arm?
Curious, many pitchers are converted OFs and vice versa. Anyone see if Swisher even pitched in the minors?
