With Jack & Doug.

Recap:

-Not getting to overexcited yet; it's a long year.
-Tallet has done everything that's been asked of him.
-Thinks the rotation can be very good once some guys come off the DL.
-Think the Jays can compete in every series.
-Defense is good, hitting much better.
-HIll's impact in his return has been huge; Rolen has also helped make the lineup solid from 1-9.
-Very impressed by Scutaro's all around game and consistency.
-Rios is just in a slump but is still swinging well.
-Didn't feel bad about the Yankees getting stomped on by Cleveland.
-"This is the best coaching staff we've had since I've been here."
-Adam Lind has gotten used to being a full-time big leaguer, has a good relationship with Cito.

Nothing too interesting, but at least the herd isn't calling for JP's head right now.

Thank you, Young Lion.

Does JP Ricciardi still not reside in Toronto during the season??

I know Wilner would defend him with the, "where does JP's fixed address directly affect the players he puts on the field" bs...

Realistically though, I want someone who at least seems commited to the city.

Colangelo lives here... ya know...

It just shows dedication and commitment to the city, and to the job.

I'll agree with Wily Wilner on this one. There's certainly a million examples of dedication and commitment to his job and the Jays on the behalf of JP that are not negated by his choice of residence for life and family.

Hell, on account of the bullpen alone i'd be fine with him renting out the janitors closet in the new Yankee stadium for all i care.

Hmm, no specific questions about picking up an experienced starter? From the recap (thanks!) it sounds like he's gonna wait another few months before opening the vault, if ever this season.

I don't think it'll happen this year at all. They're happy to wait for guys to come off the DL.

That being said they said on PTS today that Beeston is optimistic that he could get some extra money if need be.

Yeah, him mentioning the pitchers coming off the DL probably doesn't bode well for the prospects of picking up a free agent pitcher, unfortunately.
